How to find Library material (OPAC)


Please use the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) to check whether materials such as books or magazines/journals are in the Library or the University available. Purchased electronic books and electronic journals can also be searched.
Since March 2013, OPAC has offered a new function. By switching tabs for search targets, you can search for material in the collections of other institutions.

The Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) is available for 24 hours in Library website.

How to find audiovisual materials

If you wish to view the Non-lendable DVD, please borrow a DVD player from the counter.


Audiovisual materials can be checked from the list below. DVDs, and music CDs can also be searched using OPAC.
DVDs that gone through copyright processing and available for lending have a green sticker attached to the spine of the case. DVDs without copyright processing cannot be checked out.Cases of these DVDs carry a red sticker.

How to find theses


Theses can be checked from the list below.


Master's theses completed in and before 2007 and Doctoral theses are kept in the compact stack on the first floor. Since they are materials not to be removed from the Library, they are unavailable for lending
Please view Master's theses from 2008 using Library's Retrieval Terminal.
*As of March 2024, master's theses from March 2023 and later cannot be viewed because the data is not loaded.
Doctoral theses have become available for search on the website of our University's Academic Institutional Repository. The texts of doctoral theses with authors’ permission can be viewed.
Furthermore, with regard to doctoral theses from April 2013, presentation on the Internet has become mandatory. They will be presented on the website of our University’s Academic Institutional Repository except in cases where there are unavoidable grounds.

Booklog

This is an external website.Books kept in the Library are introduced through a web bookshelf service called “Booklog.
Click on the cover, and you can check the Review Column about the location of the book in the Library, its call mark, and recommendation comments for the book. Confirmation and reservation of the book can be conducted using OPAC.
The books below can be searched by categories. Use functions other than the function of viewing the bookshelves on your own responsibility.

Special Collections stored on the third floor of the Library are purchased by TUT in FY 1989 and FY 1994 using special expenses based on the Ministry of Education’s Book Collecting Plan for Special Collections(with descriptions)。

       ・Corpus of German expressionism and New Objectivity (in German: Neue Sachlichkeit)-related literary magazines: 20 items
       ・German expressionism-related art book collections: 80 items

How to find materials owned by other institutions (in Japan)

If the University does not have the book you want, you can look for where the book is available using the following web pages.
It is possible to order a copy of the book or borrow the book directly from an institution outside the University.
